Science Needs Visibility
Now more than ever. Science needs to explain what it is, what it does, and more than anything what it intends to do. Making visible what your scientific project means, its flux as well as its potential for new products and services, is an intuitive way of bringing science – and the people in it – to your target group. Whether you are a scientific work group at a university, a start-up struggling to position a new product, or an established business explaining to your customers what exactly it is that you intend to do, photography can help you with that. The world changes for the better through positive ideas. Let us show the world your ideas. Together.

For Universities And Institutes
So you start out with this great idea. You tinker, it’s one of those things you do on the side. It starts growing. You’d like to spend more time on it. So you can, but you need funding, so you write a research proposal. Or maybe that’s your starting point right from the get-go.
At some point you’ll need documentation. Just like your first prototype, the first images you take will be improvised. Crude, just a proof of concept. But that’s what you need to secure funding, maybe even outside slash industry funding.
Let’s say you’d have someone who understands this, so if you spend part of that tight research budget, what you’ll get is imagery you can truly work with. For some time to come.

For Start-ups
The beginning is the hardest, they say. I dare you to find anyone who’d dispute this. If they do, they havent’t really founded. Most would probably also agree it’s the most rewarding phase of any venture.
So you need product shots, teams shots, behind-the-scences shots for social media. You need to appeal to customers, investors, and prosprective employees. You need a (or rather multiple) social media presence, a website, flyers and other printed media. So you need imagery combined with text cast in an appealing design.
Showing what your idea is all about is often not as straightforward as we’d like it to be. Especially with the growing number of digital products. Let’s work together to realise imagery that truly explains what it is you intend to do. And if you like, build it from here.

For 'Grown-up' Businesses
A ‘selfie’ of your company is rarely a good idea. Leave it to the professionals then, right? But photos that clearly represent what your company stands for are a team effort. Communicating your ideas to your target group requires clear communication between all parties involved. And for effective branding those can be quite a few.
Whether your goal is gaining new customers or keeping existing ones, a consistent and innovative marketing concept can only be realised with the proper imagery. This need not be realised through photography, but it may, and in fact, it is often used in conjunction with other graphical elements such as vectors or complex composings. For these to work, good photography is the foundation.
So I believe that introducing a new product, growing your team, explaining a new technology – all this can be supported by effective imagery.

It’s about a change in perspective, about adopting your point of view.
I can bring that to the table.
And then transform it into effective visuals.

Science is always fiction at the stage of conception. Making it a reality is the hard part.
It requires vision, persistence, and something that seems alien to the world of science – faith.
The latter is the necessary ingredient, in my opinion, to bridge the gap between what is and what is to become. My part is to back up that self-confidence with something tangible – your story and convictions wrapped in imagery.
Getting that idea across, whether it’s the passion in your eyes or that important detail in the close-up of your product, is what fascinates me about science photography.
